If the EHRC code was justified in any way then there would be clear evidence of harm caused by trans people using single-sex spaces. There is no evidence because there is no harm. You must recognise that this code is driven purely by bigotry. Amend the act to nullify the Supreme Court ruling.

France is a world away from the UK. You can go and see any doctor and, if they are trans friendly, get hormones with informed consent. Waiting times for appointments are days not weeks. Transphobes are fined for making disparaging remarks and generally people just leave you alone.

In an ideal world yes, yes to all of this. That said, not everybody has the spoons for a confrontation with a crazed transphobe in public. If the police are called, while it might not be a criminal act, it could be seen as a breach of the peace and lead to arrest. I fucking hate the UK right now.

A lot of us didn't have the words growing up for what we felt. But now, I have some words - learning new ones every day. A major effort of the current bigoted moment is the blatant attempt to silence our words, to remove them from the public consciousness.

Something that really hurts my soul is that when a white trans woman is killed, the community makes tributes, finds videos, and even writes poetry and music. But when the trans woman is Black or Latina, crickets. We're not even respected in death.

Great article about growing up trans. I grew up not knowing I was trans but I knew I was different and I that I didn't fit in. Puberty was catastrophic for my mental health. It took 45 years to heal and the moment I healed I knew I was trans. I was socialised as a fuck-up not a male.

It takes so much courage to live a transgender life even when it feels impossible not to. What a tragedy for that to be snatched away, for nothing.

Trans women are women first ofc but in their eyes they see a man becoming a woman. If a man can become a woman then men and women are equal. The same reasoning goes for other trans identities. They cannot accept that men are not superior to women and so trans folk must die.
