Continuing on the theme of Solent Go, that was a pre loaded day ticket, bought so I could make use of the monthly & quarterly tickets which are very good value. It should magically load via a Bluestar bus but didn't... and the only app is for Android. Why is public transport so complicated?!

Titchfield Haven: that time of year when Yellow Wagtails reappear, chats on the scrub, Great Green Bush-crickets add to the soundscape, some waders including 2 Ruff, and err Glossy Ibis start returning (presumably)! Also 5+ Cattle Egrets & 3 Marsh Harriers etc #LowCarbonBirding #PWC2025

Remember this when people quote collision data and say that "speed isn't a factor" so reducing the speed limit won't positively affect road safety. It's always a factor, despite what the police write in their incident report.

Continuing east from Hill Head to Lee-on-the Solent, I was soon distracted by what I hope is a Beewolf! One of several in a sandy patch on the slope. Also thought I could hear a few Grey Bush-crickets amongst the many Field Grasshoppers but all were well hidden! #UKWildlife
