I spent an hour in an unairconditioned public school yesterday, and holy cow, I'd forgotten how awful it is the first/last couple months of the school year. It was absolutely 90 degrees in those rooms. An absolute travesty that we don't talk about enough.

Future dystopian sci-fi has imagined things like nuclear wastelands, sure. Totalitarian oppression, climate catastrophe, sure. But rarely has it imagined today's real horror of AI making stupid and annoying people 100x worse.
