It seems like Microsoft has all but abandoned moving console hardware at this point, 5 years into the Xbox Series X/S' lifespan in favour of focusing on being a publisher. Doesn't inspire me to jump onboard with new Xbox hardware in a couple of years if hardware is no longer a focus.

A lot of the business failures of the games industry are really rooted in this desire to create a product that dominates the market.
