Some parts of Angeline Era are very good. There are also some parts that I absolutely loathe. I'd like to promise more in the rest of the review, but realistically, this is 3000+ words of me trying to figure out how I even feel about the game. (No untagged spoilers in the writeup)

Something really weird to me with AI music is that every few months I'll something I "kinda" like. But despite however much I enjoy it, something about it stills feels wrong or off? Not in a showboaty "I'm a music expert" way, but there will be words that would have been better.

For whatever complaints I have about Angeline Era, and I will have them by the time I finish this game, FOR JOY AND HONOR is a great track.

The problem is not civility! The problem is that a man shot a woman in broad daylight, on video and may well get away with it because he is the armed goon of a mafia state that no longer believes in justice, but only in power. That is not a civility problem! Nazis are not a civility problem!

The game I am playing strongly feels like it has moved from the realm of "Unusual Indie Game" to "Psychosis Fever Dream" and I am not enjoying it.

Division M is exactly the expansion I wanted for Agent Avenue, broadening the game's possibility space with a single card. Okay, multiple copies of a single card, but still. spacebiff.com/2026/01/08/a...

@hantani.bsky.social Hey, I've run into what I think (?) is a weird bug while playing Angeline Era, during the 77 boss fight. Link to video of the bug is below, and it reproduces after closing and restarting the game.

The Minecraft credits are some sort of abomination. A billion lines of text long, and people like C418 are just stuffed in between other random names. Markus Person is a tremendous asshole, but he made Minecraft. Not a million program managers and business consultants.

Quick Thoughts on Horses 1. It's garbage it was banned off Steam and Epic. 2. I didn't find it good enough to be worth getting and playing through. It mostly just felt disturbing rather then making any real statement.
