Golden Gate Park was once home to high-speed auto racing (It did not end well)
Speeds were high and safety was low in the Guardsmen classic, a short-lived automobile race that accelerated through San Franciscoâs biggest park. We found the startling photos.

Our morning started bright and early with our annual Transit Month Kickoff Rally and Ride Along! We rode in from the newly rejuvenated West Portal Station to City Hall, where speakers discussed the importance of Muni and Bay Area transit, and their hopes for the future of our transit systems.

One of my kids was denied the Covid booster today at San Francisco Walgreens. I wasnât able to provide an acceptable reason for eligibility, they will require a prescription. Attesting to a medical condition they wrote down the name of for the other kid was good enough. Be forewarned.
