I feel so split on all of the yearly unwrapped reports bc, on one hand, it's a beautiful way to package data visualization. Our data and collective knowledge is precious. Hopefully, people will realize that! On the other hand, it can feel like ⭐aesthetic surveillance⭐ depending on the brand.

A lot of creative mental space this year was spent practicing lineart and realizing that I have a better knack for form. Practice makes better, yes. I will be a better draftsman one day. I'd still rather a value study or layer gouache over a sketch and fall in love with the result.

During this Monster Month, I've been indulging my sphinx obsession with some sketches and studies. I love their folklore, their riddles and their symbolic presence in maximalist aesthetics. My world-building brain has so many ideas to explore!
