my opinion on the Bad Bunny halftime show, and non-English music in general, is that i think a need to “be able to understand the lyrics” displays an embarrassing shallowness of the speaker to appreciate the voice as an instrument & to appreciate music as something other than a lyric delivery system

Also never forget that Riot had a label called Riot Forge which worked with indie studios to make League of Legends spin-off games. They closed it because the games weren't making enough money but they pinned it on 'refocusing' on core games which means League and Valorant.

10 years of development and three weeks after launch they laid off half their team. God damn that's grim. I feel so bad to all the developers who put their hearts into this thing.

I find it difficult to believe that management in the 2xko team legit thought they were going to hit any numbers given to them by Riot. What I can believe is them going well we'll do the best we can because if we tell them the numbers are absurd they'll cancel the game tomorrow.

It's absolutely unbelievable that 2xko blew nearly a decade of work to release only to start downsizing their team 3 weeks into launch. Runeterra had years before they had to bite the bullet, maybe 2xko would have had longer if they hadn't spent 9 years not releasing

Riot is a company that has a lot of money but they make a lot of poor decisions and they do it over and over again without learning from mistakes. 2XKO, while it has a LOT of issues, showed a lot of promise. But this is honestly the most Riot move ever.

anyway i made a patched version of 2xko that doesn't require vanguard for archival reasons, can't connect to servers (obviously) but it also allows modding so there's the potential to reimplement online for when the game inevitably sunsets
