One thing I neglected to note: for the second straight year, we won't have any new additions to the All-Time Net Gained Vote Leaderboard. A couple candidates got close (Beltrán +38, Pettitte +36). I have a hunch we'll see some 2026 entries here.

Just added ballot #333 to the Tracker, which brings us to 84.5% of ballots known and a new record! (Previous best: 84.4% in 2020.)

BREAKING: The Mariners announce they will be retiring Ichiro’s 51 as part of “Ichiro Hall of Fame Weekend” from Aug 8-10.

I think the most likely outcome is that the one voter who didn't support Ichiro... will never say anything at all. Just like the one Jeter, and just like the three Griffey. My personal plan is to not really give it another moment of serious consideration.

Carlos Beltrán was selected on 81.5% of pre-results ballots and had a final result of 70.3%. That means he appeared on 56.7% of not-yet-revealed and private ballots. Utley: 51.9% pre-results public ballots, 39.8% final. Means 25.3% on the rest.

Per @shutthedore.bsky.social, no ballots posted to the Tracker were lost in the mail. All are accounted for on the BBWAA voter list.

Note: @tonycal.bsky.social and @shutthedore.bsky.social (the latter is currently over the moon due to his fav Billy Wagner's election) are currently reconciling the voter list with the Tracker to make sure there aren't any errors or lost in the mail ballots. Just incredible. 🙌 (I'm having a beer.)
