If you liked the film, and you want to see something that scratches the itch and underscore the film's deeply myopic exploration of its characters, go watch Mr. Robot (2015). Backrooms and Mr. Robot could not be more ideologically opposed, so I can garuntee it'll challenge your sensibilities.

On the other side, here's my take. Backrooms(2026) is performing deft slight of hand. It's visually dazzling while pulling the audience's focus away from a cruel, self-loathing, status quo narrative. I could say more- but I'd go on and on. When it hits streaming I'll write a full review.

Woke up and watched some reviews of the Backrooms, and any negative review is just filled with comments from glazers calling OP a larper or saying they’re a fake Kane Parson’s fan when their critiques are on the actual shortcomings of the film.
