In practice, that means lower energy bills, better comfort and health, and more resilience for new houses. And a key provision is that any home builder installing cooling (and most do) must install a heat pump instead of traditional central A/C. Most new homes will have a heat pump!

Methane "natural" gas prices jumped 11.7% in ONE YEAR and has outpaced the rate of inflation x4. And it's not a bill we need to pay. Clean electricity can heat and cook better than gas. We need affordability solutions, not reliance on the volatile cost of fossil fuels.

We're moving forward. Oregon refuses to be dragged down by expensive, polluting fossil fuels and the federal government's attempt to prop up coal, oil, and methane with our tax dollars.
