All in all, if you mist watch it, only watch up until the 17 minute point, ita a decent if generic actual palaeodoc beforehand.

This is without mentioning most if not all footsge is just stock footage and images, so there's nothing of note other then a game of "Guess where that's from". This is a 4/10. Surviving Earth is better then this, and I am souring on it so hard rn.

but then they showed Nicholas Longrich as another, and after 15 min they jumped straught into psrudoscience, like Colossal Biosciences, neodinosaur cryptids, and goddamn CREATIONISM, all presented in a "This might be true" plausible deniability tone I despise.

Just watched what's easily the worst palaeodoc of the year. Its an ep of The UnXplained. You know, the History Channel "doc" series? That should tell you all you need to know about quality. I mean, it started off fine (they even got @tetzoo.bsky.social as the most recurring talking head)

surviving earth ep 5 is interesting... overall one of the better outings, even if some of the species choices were questionable (almost all shown in the carboniferous persisted into the permian, so implying extinctions is kinda odd)
