We are ending the year with a BIG win in the fight to end Death By Incarceration. HB 150, which would offer release to sick and aging people in PA prisons, passed out of the House yesterday with 12 Republicans voting for compassion.

We cannot accept a government that doesn’t support mercy for aging people in prison. With geriatric people making up over 27% of those locked up in PA prisons, the PA House must pass HB 150 to offer parole review to people with serious medical conditions.

We are rallying at the PA State Capitol in Harrisburg today to push for the passage of HB 150, a bill that would allow parole review to sick and aging people sentenced to die in prison. With more than 10,000 people over age 50 locked up in PA, this would offer tremendous relief to elders in need.
