I don’t know who needs to hear this but listening to an audio book absolutely counts as “reading” a book. In fact, I’d argue that listening to an author read their own work aloud is an exceptionally magical and even holy experience. I love it so much. Especially as my eyesight gets worse.

You only have to listen to John Cale’s version of Hallelujah to notice that sometimes a rhyme is all about how you choose to pronounce it. He sings it ‘correctly’, which frequently destroys the rhyme scheme but does he sound bothered?
