imo the problem with #loureed 's later work is that he got seriously upset his good writing which he put so much effort and his entire heart into just... wasn't getting recognised at all. so fuck it, man, if they're not listening, he'll just say whatever. it didn't even matter to him anymore.

anyway i binged a bunch of VU song review articles by this one guy, and they were all brilliant — it was very clear the writer was a superfan like me, his exuberance and love for the band was really evident in the reviews. amazing stuff lol + i have the Sister Ray MINUTE-BY-MINUTE review saved.

honestly the general public perception of #davidbowie is really reductive and dismissive of his talents.

andy warhol had a cool taste in music actually. All Tomorrow's Parties was his favourite velvet underground song (tho tbh that may be because of nico's AMAZING vocals on it... but really *any* VU song i would approve as a fave)

#thevelvetunderground 's song The Murder Mystery is very disliked :( the intention was for contrasting words and speeds to be played in both channels, but they didn't quite succeed. it just sounds like nothing in Lou Reed and Sterling Morrison's section, Doug Yule and Moe Tucker's fairing better.
