Chrissy crossed over the rainbow bridge 🌈 this morning. She stopped eating and drinking. We took her to our vet and then quickly went to the emergency hospital vet. They thought it was a kidney infection and started IV fluids and antibiotics yesterday.

Happy 6th Gotcha Day Chrissy!❤️ The rescue estimated her as 5 years old. Found abandoned at a busy intersection about 1 year old. Her first adopter moved without her, and her roommate returned her to the rescue. They said she should be an only cat, but she accepted her older brother.

A para at my school has to move and needs a new safe home for her boy Percy. He is 4, neutered, front paw declawed (I know, not good), indoor only. He is currently an only cat, but I’m sure with slow and gentle introduction he could handle a sibling. He lives in Nebraska.

This sort of stuff is extremely common on our local NextDoor. It’s so sad. I’m glad to not have to worry about it for our cats.

We had to leave our babies alone to go to his mom's 90th surprise birthday party. Ten hours drive there and ten back. About an hour away from home now. I wonder what they got up to over 3 nights alone.
