Just got home from Anime St. Louis. Having @prozdishere.bsky.social in the audience while I sang karaoke was not something I expected, so that was cool. I also got to meet him in person!

It's weird, I am completely happy, excited even to throw myself at a brick wall until it crumbles in single player/PVE content because I absolutely love that feeling of overcoming an obstacle, but the second it's against another player I'm ready to chew through solid oak.

Tried Arknight Endfield. Gave it roughly an hour or so. It's...fine. But I really feel like I could be playing a better game. I don't think it's bad, it'll definitely be something people love. But it's not doing anything remotely interesting either.

Gonna say something that might ruffle some feathers, but I think cozy/casual gamers are starting to become one of the most toxic groups out there. I am actually quite tired of the sentiment that if you don't have fun in a certain low-stakes way then you're not ACTUALLY having fun at all.

Chrono Cross is maddening, I'm so close to enjoying the game, like just teetering on the edge, but every time I start to I get yanked backwards by a terrible design choice. In this case what's bugging me are the random encounters. They're so pointless and slow, often you just get nothing from them.

Soldam was as what the kids say "lost media" for many years. It was planned to be released for the Famicom in 1993 by Jaleco but never ended up happening. Not only is it getting an NES cartridge release, there's plans for a Famicom cartridge release as well with this box art. Very cool to see!
