Railway passenger rights can always be a bit of a pain to understand. But do i miss any valid reason here, why NS (International) refuse being rebooked onto a Eurostar to Brussels to still be there on time? Would be interesting to hear your opinions, as i am genuinely confused... ๐ค

Amazing no words. I booked the below itinerary to get me to Brussels before the charter train leaves Brussels zuid at 09:28. Unfortunately my connection has ceased to exist, as it requires a 3 minute connection in Amsterdam which is shorter than the minimum connection time there.There is an Eurostar

Hi! I just noticed that as of today it seems, Raileurope is charging a โฌ2 reservation fee for interrail reservations. I am currently updating
interrailwiki.eu
to stop recommending them as the cheapest option, but maybe
seat61.com
also warrants an update :)

Hi! I made a seat reservation for Stuttgart Hbf to Wien Hbf on the following trains, but due to delay and cancellation of my previous ICE's I was unable to get to Stuttgart in time for my ICE, can i get the โฌ6.50 back? I don't see any way to get it back via db navigator or the website.

As if Aberdeen to Penzance wasn't silly enough, only today, there is a Penzance to Aberdeen train, that takes a longer route and takes nearly an hour longer as it goes via Wales. I am joined by

@nickbadley.com
and some people I don't have the bluesky of, so this journey will be fun!

Well, it seems like people can find the direct trains to London again, this queue is long even just 45 minutes before planned departure!

So, I spent entirely too much time on making a map of all the engineering works on Easter Sunday so I can find a good place to stay, and it is too useful not to share here so enjoy

The end of an era! The farewell of
@bahn.de
's ICE3M - a train that once heralded the glorious expansion of high speed rail across Europe, connecting ๐ณ๐ฑ, ๐ง๐ช and ๐ซ๐ท to the ICE network. A train that even once went through the tunnel to London ๐ฌ๐ง for a Germany <> London rail link that never came.

Well, I have randomly made my way into Germany and back to accompany

So I guess Iโm on my way to Brussels for a nice beer and listen about European cross border rail. This is probably the last time Iโll use ICR towards Belgium with the i11 and ICNG-Bโs that are slowly but surely replacing them. Bit of a bummer as I was hoping for an ICNG to charge my phone๐

after days of grifters and con men at CES we stumbled upon the booth for VLC. they were all dressed as wizards and told us, "we have nothing to sell, we just decided to show up". i told them I'd been using their software to pirate media for 15 years and they said "keep doing that"

I saw the map, and first thoughts: most Dutch stations/track are at capacity, and especially Schiphol would require massive infra spending closing (part of?) one of the largest airports of Europe, which is probably not socially acceptable. Eurostar services should move to Amsterdam Zuid

Hi
@jonworth.eu
, I was once again reading your excellent page about eurostar
jonworth.eu/the-future-o...
and noticed the bit about track capacity on HSL-Zuid. The HSL is full currently, thanks to NMBS/NS upping the frequency to half hourly on Rotterdam-Belgium, and Schiphol is a major bottleneck.

hi, looking at some train timetables recently (as you do), and it seems that the connection between the IC Nuit from Paris to Latour de Carol is now _much_ better, only 18 minutes instead of the almost 1.5 hours it was last year!
