Probably true story: When I was very young, I used the term "bathroom" for the room with the toilet in it. I learned that Canadians use the term "washroom" instead. I, as a Canadian child, wanted to be more Canadian. So I taught myself to use "washroom" instead. And I still do.

UPDATE: I figured it out, and my keyboard is back in action. There was some weird USB shenanigans going on with the macropad that I use. I finally decided to plug my converter into my cellphone via an adapter and it worked perfectly fine, so I started unplugging other things from my PC.

The converter I use to allow my PS/2 Model M keyboard to connect via USB to my PC and add macros to it seems to have decided to die. I'm fucking devastated. It's such a small thing but I interact with that keyboard so much that not having MY keyboard is kind of making me crashout.
