Plunking air purifiers in schools in random locations given the complexity of air movement in these complicated buildings with lots of human movement was never likely to do that much. Proper air cleaning requires expert analysis of air movements compared with human activities in the spaces.

There needs to be a similar mainstream media effort to track banned histories. (And note that the word "banned" or "erased" is much preferable to "lost"--the former highlight the agency involved in displacing this knowledge, while the latter suggests a mere accident.)

💯 this is important. Those who depend on the bus are typically working hard to make ends meet. A slow bus system steals their time, which is their livelihood. Slow transit is among the most regressive "taxes" - with disproportionate financial impact on the lowest wage earners.

And we've already seen the transformative impacts of eliminating the fare when we won and implemented a historic fare free bus pilot on one line in each borough. Ridership went up. Assaults on operators went down. And people saved money.
