It’s part of the propaganda so people don’t think about it (but also think about it) Means testing is not free. You have to pay for all the rule setters & maintainers. You are putting in extra cost to “save money” by stopping “people from taking advantage” its not just morally wrong but also stupid

I remember fighting with someone over the busses and I talked about the need to pay people to work out who gets to ride for free or not, pay people to deal with all those asking for an exception, and pay for people to make sure no one who doesn’t get to rides for free and asked how we pay for that
