I feel kind of indifferent about the new ghast tbh, but it's nice to see more development of multi-player transport. The vanilla shaders are pretty exciting, even more so that it'll be on both codebases. I love their focus on pixel consistent shadows and caustics, too.

Tried making a proper texture for it. It feels a little too high-res though, haha. I may shelve this idea for now but it was an interesting experiment. Maybe someday we'll get custom armor models in vanilla and I can refine it some more.

This is a super rough draft, but I had a thought the other day about making armor textures 96x48 instead of 64x32. Gets it a bit closer to pixel consistency with the player model if you wanted more detailed armor without visibly exceeding a 16x looking resolution.
