🚨 NEW WORKING PAPER ALERT 🚨 What if we told you that NFL officiating might not be as neutral as we all assume? That penalties in the postseason aren’t just random whistles, but instead, they tend to favor one team? Read the paper here:

Had a conversation with industry friend yesterday. A ton of IT workers are poised to leave the country because of immigration status. According to his company, there’s going to be a LOT of ~very high paying ($300 an hour baseline) jobs available soon (with easy to get certs in Cloud etc.). 📈📉

Interesting to think about partial equilibrium effects. This is essentially what MDs have done (only accepting US citizens). Increasing wages, increasing at-home talent, and increasing costs? Good or bad thing? Idk! Probably depends on who you ask. “In this paper, we…”

🚨Publication alert!🥳 A recent paper of mine has been published in the Journal of Financial Research! Key takeaway: The EEOC's 1992 policy incentivized firms to limit employee numbers, resulting in a subsequent decline in growth. Check out the full paper here:

I grew up around horse racing (my first job was hot-walking horses at Oaklawn Park) and I've heard this theory bounced around by various bettors over the years, but I've never seen it flushed out like this. Fascinating work with implications outside horse racing.
