For #Caturday, The occasion on which my Ares #cat met a #dog for the first and only time and, having no common sense, decided to stroll straight up to his face. It’s just over a week ago, but last Sunday I saw my oldest nibling in person for the first time in eight years. We talk weekly on WhatsApp but hadn’t been physically in the same space for all that time because we’re both really ill so it’s complicated. So it was fabulous actually to be together!

I’m not a children’s author, but I aspire to write the sort of book that has this effect on people. I’d aspire to have this sort of child, but I’m very happy with the son I’ve got, who does love a good female protagonist.

My parents have just moved from the other end of the country to live close by to me. We’ve lived close to each other all of my life until I moved last December, so I’m thrilled they decided to move down this way too. (Picture from their garden)
