even if LLMs didn't take jobs and steal from people's work I still wouldn't be comfortable in companies using them unless they found a way for them not to eat massive amounts of resources at the expense of mainly marginalised people and just the planet as a whole, the results are not worth it.

I don't know why people fall for the tech sales pitch of "use this because you can do more." Stop trying to do more. You got 24 hours a day. It's a fixed boundary. You don't win a damn prize for cramming more in. You just get burnt out. Stop falling for it.

The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

Not only are LLMs speedrunning a post-truth world where actual heroes who stop violent crimes get erased, but they have already contributed to convincing people to commit violent crimes. Love yourself too much to let yourself be poisoned.
