Yes, it's one of the most common myths we see online. One of the progenitors of this myth—William Makis—would randomly find posts about people passing away on Facebook or elsewhere online and imply the vaccine played a role. Very bad behavior, to scare folks into trusting him instead of medicine.

There are polio survivor groups in the US that still meet, but they are becoming less and less active. Part of what they discuss is how to cope with post-polio syndrome, which most of society doesn't even know exists. That could change if we aren't careful.
