I’ve said this before, but I had measles when I was about 9 months old. My parents told me they were genuinely worried I would die: I was basically lying limp in a darkened room for days. It set me back in terms of physical milestones. For the babies’ sake, please vaccinate!

Good thing that's not what is happening.... The HPV vaccine is the L1 gene product, which self assembles into a virus like particle. There's no E6 protein in the HPV vaccines. The person posting this on social media sites is an oncologist at

Yes, it's one of the most common myths we see online. One of the progenitors of this myth—William Makis—would randomly find posts about people passing away on Facebook or elsewhere online and imply the vaccine played a role. Very bad behavior, to scare folks into trusting him instead of medicine.
