When I studied abroad at Oxford during law school, it was a common thing for Americans to argue that the written US constitution was superior to the unwritten UK constitution because it's harder to ignore written rules. I guess that argument is basically over now.

I learned at a conference last week that law students these days are being directly instructed by professors to use AI in research, drafting, and presentations. Highly concerning IMO.

Important point—the DA charged two counts that require a showing that the murder was an act of terrorism. The judge found they did not have sufficient evidence that he did it to intimidate the public or influence govt policy. A count for second degree murder (intentional) still remains.
