I just realised there is not really a good art website in my life anymore where I could go and look for inspiration etc. Deviantart & Artstation supports genAI stuff, social media algorithms are useless, guess I could try to use Cara more often, idk.

I finally finished that commission that didn't have a real deadline therefore it took forever to make, such a freeing feeling. You might see art from me again in the near future.

I don't make enough art that I could post nowadays (working on a secret comic, also working in full time for who knows what reason) and I don't want to post only rambling cause people will unfollow me lol. Eternal silence it is I guess.

Clumpws enjoys curling up in a wet, leafy mound with a good book and a family-sized bag of mulch or a chippy tea (“ wood chips, that is!”). Be careful when clearing out that woodpile. Clumpws might be in there absorbed in a Ken Follett.

The reason I have nothing to show in the past year because I jumped back and forth between projects. I drew a few pages for this, then for that, then redrew the 1st one etc. etc. I'm a little angry with myself because of that.

Obvs I pre-ordered A Garden of Spheres (this week). I stopped reading on patreon somewhere in the dragon chapter. I'm going to reread the whole thing when it's out. I'll try to not instantly ruin the book by my tears falling on it because of how beautifully it's drawn.

used lunch break to make a bare-bones webcomic viewer that requires nothing other than putting jpegs into a folder -- i knew it wouldn't be difficult, but it was even easier. no database, no special files to update. works fine on the phone. already covers about 95% of the features i need

#portfolioday I... I try to draw comics, with more or less success. I'm currently working on a longer one. I work digitally. I'm comfortable doing lineart and I can paint as well.

I should stop acting like I haven't been working as an artist for ten years. I can't grow out of being unconfident. I'll try to stop being self destructive here and only post art when it happens.

I know it doesnt sound a lot, but I have 11 pages sketched for Qualria (we don't talk about the other 21 page I drew in march last year, that was a false start) and my layouts/compositions are getting better as I go, but I'm so afraid I will mess them up with the finishing.
