On to a new attempt

I'm not perfectly happy with it, but for a first attempt at oil painting, I'm calling it good and moving on to my second.

This is to tease my progress because only one half of the face is close to finished. The shaded side of the face has confused my brain. Good learning. Of course, I started the most difficult way with a mirror in a position I have to move in and out of and inconsistent lighting.
