One thing I actually love about teacher social media is that you can totally tell who’s a great teacher by the way they talk about kids (in general and their students specifically). It’s really nice to hear people talk so fondly about students.

Also, to be clear, most mainstream schools don't care about the education deaf students receive. Deaf school: I was certified ELA, they gave me a reading class, and said I had to be certified in Reading too. Mainstream: I had 3 math classes, 3 social studies classes, 1 ELA, and computers.

I love a baby toddler but the aquarium has reminded me of how fun bigger kids are. We have a pass so we went twice recently and the day that there were field trips there was so much more fun with the kids w their friends being joyful and excited. Kids w their families.. not nearly as excited.

Stop assuming Deaf people can’t do anything because of “communication barriers” because like… ??? Deaf people have always been able to find multiple ways to communicate. You just don’t wanna do anything other than speak.. the barrier is YOU in those situations.

Safety feature I want: filter the people that follow you by how many mutuals you have. The starter packs are nice but being on one means there are too many new people to instablock the people who have no business have access to my ramblings.
