There's my new book in the charts... better than "Popular Music Theory," not as good as "It's easy to play Oasis" (whose title might or might not have been meant as an unsult). Go on, folks, all buy it today and wipe the second-hand smiles off those Mancunian gurners.

I've just been to see When Fish Begin to Crawl at Celtic Connections. One of the most powerful things I've ever seen. Thank you.

I was once whingeing to Paul McCartney that I'll always be known primarily for the Wombles. Straight-faced, without irony, he said, "Yeah, I have the same problem with The Beatles".😂

I adore this from Wendy Cope. Such familial love in it. 'I'm depressed. I haven't said.'

In Iceland, on Christmas Eve, people give each other books so they can spend the evening drinking cocoa & reading. It’s called, Jolabokaflod, the Christmas book flood. I’ve never been more in love with Iceland than I am right now ♥️♥️

Hey authors, don’t forget that if you use
bookshop.org
instead of that great big place, you will be helping out indie bookshops - very few of who make so much they are dabbling with building rockets - you can even choose which bookshop

I go for walks and often find myself taking photos at the same place. I like this tree. It looks to me like it's on stage, performing. And hello, this is my first post on here, I think.
