Welcome to VE Day! Children will dress up in Union Jack Colours. In assembly, they’ll see and hear some of the sights & sounds of the Home Front & the Blitz. Children @TVI had a fantastic time celebrating the VE Day! 🇬🇧🎉 Here is Paul doing assembly by taking them on an insightful journey, sharing stories and experiences from the war times, helping them understand the significance of this day and the sacrifices made for peace @tvinfants.bsky.social

V.E Day Celebrations at TVI! After assembly we had to listen to the siren to let us know the war was over then it was out to celebrate - street party style! After dancing and eating we stood for the national anthem 🇬🇧 @tvinfants.bsky.social @rebeccaolleytvi.bsky.social

We had a really beautiful day. Children were treated to a super street party. They all gained an awareness of the importance of VE Day, and experienced some of the sights and sounds of the London Home Front, the Blitz and VE Day in 1945. Thank you to all my staff for making it such a success.

Squirrels 🐿️ had a fantastic time celebrating VE Day with fun activities like making hats, waving flags, dancing 💃dancing 🕺, street partying, and playing games both indoors and outdoors! A big thank you 🙏 to all the parents for donating food for our street party 🎉 @tvinfants.bsky.social

Today in assembly I read my favourite story book of all time to the children. This week we have Year 10 students in School from Riverside. They are all ex-pupils and it’s great hearing them recall what life was like at TVI 8 years ago. (Apparently I haven’t changed at all & look just the same 😊!)
