This week in Maths we have been counting in twos and today we were identifying odd and even numbers. We have been sorting numbers into odd and even and then singing a song all about the 2 times table @tvinfants.bsky.social @lakshmitvi.bsky.social @fizatvi.bsky.social @chloetvi.bsky.social

In Writing today Tigers were exploring different words for went. We went around an obstacle course in the hall with different actions to do at each point. We hopped, skipped, danced and jumped. We loved it @tvinfants.bsky.social @lakshmitvi.bsky.social @chloetvi.bsky.social @fizatvi.bsky.social

This week in Maths Tigers have been learning about tall, short and long. Children enjoyed using the screen to click which was the tallest, shortest or longest. Lots of talking to compare the items and then measured our heights in class too @tvinfants.bsky.social @lakshmitvi.bsky.social

Tigers went on a walk this afternoon to see the different shops we have near school for Geography. Lots of talking about what you can get from each shop @tvinfants.bsky.social @lakshmitvi.bsky.social very sensible children who were excited to share what they knew!

We have had a lovely first week in Year 1. Tigers have settled into Year 1 beautifully and today enjoyed a very exciting golden time @tvinfants.bsky.social @lakshmitvi.bsky.social we had shaving foam, messy play, colouring, pancakes and loads of toys to play with! We thoroughly enjoyed it! ⭐️

Lions have been writing all about the Gruffalo. To finish off the week we made our very own Gruffalo crumble. Poppies joined us too! It was delicious @tvinfants.bsky.social @laurenskeelstvi.bsky.social we added purple prickles, black tongues, orange eyes and green poisonous warts!

Lions enjoyed PE today…practising rolling, bouncing and throwing to our partner. We had to aim and wait for the ‘go’ before throwing. Each time we tried to get even more skilled at aiming and moved further away from each other! @tvinfants.bsky.social @tvijames.bsky.social

This afternoon our head teacher candidates visited Year 2 and Reception classes to meet them personally and earn some votes. Voting is on Monday and we are really excited to see who wins @tvinfants.bsky.social

Lions 🦁 had a fantastic visit today to Greenwich Park. We had a lovely journey there and a delicious picnic before walking up a very big hill and seeing the amazing view. Now time for an early night and lots of rest @tvinfants.bsky.social @tvijames.bsky.social @laurenskeelstvi.bsky.social

Today we had some special visitors in Lions. We held and cleaned out our new chickens so we could make their home nice and tidy. We wrote about what we did using lots of describing words. We loved it when they started to fly @tvinfants.bsky.social @tvijames.bsky.social @adamdobsontvi.bsky.social t

We went on a minibeast hunt in Science today. We used magnifying glasses to look for 🪰🐞🕷️🐜🐛 and many more. We then drew our own and wrote about what we knew about them @tvinfants.bsky.social @tvijames.bsky.social

In Science this term Lions are exploring habitats including animals and plants you will find there. Today we explored our very own habitats in the playground @tvinfants.bsky.social can you guess what creatures and plants we found? @tvijames.bsky.social

In Dance today lions were creating numbers in the air and numbers on the floor and their partner had to guess what number they had drawn. It was great to see children really focussed and saying what they could see @tvinfants.bsky.social we then created our own number sequence too!
