Daisies enjoyed their morning lesson today. As we are learning about mice children got to make cheese crackers because we all know how much mice like cheese and a cheeky nibble of a cracker! 🐭🧀 @tvinfants.bsky.social @adamdobsontvi.bsky.social

Poppies joined Year 1 listening to a parent who volunteered to talk about Windrush. All children were engaged in his story and enjoyed joining in with phrases. This was all part of our learning in Black History month. @tvinfants.bsky.social @lakshmitvi.bsky.social @tvi-families.bsky.social

Here we have both Poppies and Daisies children during their teaching time. From turn-taking games, to play-dough animals, cutting and sticking to make sentences and matching activities all these children are working very hard ⭐️⭐️ @tvinfants.bsky.social

For Black History month we were inspired by famous heroes such as Mary Seacole, Martin Luther King Jr and Rosa Parks. We decorated our own ‘celebration’ hand to show what makes us all special and a hero to others @tvinfants.bsky.social @tvi-families.bsky.social

During Geography today we walked to the local shop to see what it sold. We needed to buy jam, bread and butter and the children really enjoyed looking at what we could buy and very sensibly found what we needed. @tvinfants.bsky.social @lakshmitvi.bsky.social @laurenskeelstvi.bsky.social

We’ve been learning about our senses in Science. Today some children used their sense of smell 👃 and some used their sense of taste 👅 . They then needed to say whether they liked it or not. @tvinfants.bsky.social @lakshmitvi.bsky.social

Our book in Writing this week is Ten in the Bed. Today I spotted these children during their choose time role playing the story. They collected the teddies and even made their own bed! 🔟🧸🛏️ @tvinfants.bsky.social @lakshmitvi.bsky.social

Here we are leading an attention bucket for both Poppy and Daisy children this morning. We had a squeaky octopus, flashing lights and an expanding ball! It was all very exciting! @tvinfants.bsky.social

Today Poppies learned all about the bones inside our body. They then went off to make their own skeleton pictures! They really took their time and were really proud of their work 😃 @tvinfants.bsky.social @lakshmitvi.bsky.social @tvijames.bsky.social

During choose time these two children worked together to build a part monster, part house out of magnetic tiles. They were very proud of the outcome 😃 @tvinfants.bsky.social
