I like how FRLG has a cave on one of the postgame Sevii Islands that does nothing because they never distributed the event. So it's just an empty cave filled with Zubats. Got to wonder what the hell happened that they just didn't bother doing anything with it.

I really question how we got to the point where people rating or calling a game like a 7 out of 10 to them means it's extremely mediocre, or in some cases bad.

Got fed up of grinding in FRLG so I went in knowing I'd be underleveled. Everyone's level was between 51-55 and getting everyone to the same level would've been miserable. So glad I managed to beat it despite that.

Forgot about the sudden level jump for every important fight after the 7th Gym in FRLG and how much you have to grind for the Elite Four. Also for some reason they make it so you can't use the VS Seeker in caves or buildings. This sucks.

FRLG making me realize how much random encounters in Pokemon outside of the early game, filling out the dex, or grinding (without the VS Seeker) barely even matters. I don't even remember a time where I felt like a wild pokemon has been a threat when it's more like an annoyance.

There's a weird amount of trainers in FRLG that call you a mouse. Gotta wonder if that was just a weird localisation thing they kept in from the original games or what.

Thinking back on ScVi, I have to amend me saying Area Zero and Nemona were the only good parts. It's really just Area Zero. I must've been coping hard to find something good about the game prior to reaching Area Zero. Nenoma isn't much different from every other trainer in the series.

This child on Route 15 in FRLG exists to waste your time. Her Clefairy's only "attacking" move is Metronome. The rest is shit like Minimize, Defense Curl, and Cosmic Power to stall the fight.

Will never forget the time when I first played Dragon Quest IV where I got Hank Hoffman Jr and his wagon. Literally right after joining the party as a guest member, he fucking landed a crit on a Metal Slime. Dude locked in hard.

Teachy TV got to be one of the most pointless additions to FRLG. Most of what it teaches you is stuff you can learn before getting it. You get it from the guy who teaches you how to catch Pokemon when you already have access to Pokeballs before meeting him.

If I have to talk about one of the many issues with battling in Pokemon (mainline/turn-based) it has terrible flow/speed. Every aspect of a battle has to play out one at a time in order. They are unable to have more than one thing happen, which bloats time spent in battles to a stupid amount.

Been playing Pokemon FRLG and having an alright time. That said, feeling of "wow these games really haven't evolved" still hits hard. It happened when I played the original Red/Blue sometime after SwSh, and the same happened now with FRLG when the last game I played was ScVi.

Gotta wonder what the hell is up with the Xenoblade x S2 Edition. From what I can tell from hearing from others is that whatever tech or AI upscaling they used isn't great and is way more noticeable in handheld. Hope that gets fixed soon.
