"How do we pay for UBI?" is disingenuous. The top 1% are correctly working the system exactly the way we have laid it out. Like Warren Buffet has said, he just likes to play the game to win. How have we ever paid for anything?

Actually I'm gonna go further than what I've been saying the last few days. In this era of constant disruptions and crises, any government NOT looking at how to implement a UBI to stabilise and secure their economy and society is not being serious about governing.

Universal Basic Income gives leverage to dreams, ambitions, and possibilities.

People often fear what other people won't do if they had an unconditional basic income, but what are you not doing right now because you don't have a UBI?

The Ai reason for UBI gets attention but I feel it can be problematic. It uses fight or flight, saying you will have to accept this. I'm guilty of using this too. We should have long ago decided human beings deserve to survive, be entrusted, unconditionally and regardless of other factors.

A GLBI in Canada is supported by Food Banks Canada, The Canadian Association of Social Workers, The Canadian Chamber of Commerce, 100 Canadian CEOs, multiple Canadian economists, a ongoing all party collaboration in PEI, BC Union of Municipalities.. But instead we do sweeps (Which aren't free btw)

I think we may be missing the boat by not touting the health benefits - mental and physical - of UBI. The savings to the healthcare system would probably cover a fair chunk of a true UBI in Canada, but just knowing that citizen health would be substantially improved should help get people on board.

Poverty is neither natural nor necessary. It is another aberration that, from above the Kármán Line at 100 kms (62 miles) above the surface, just shouldn't exist.
