"peaceful" and "nonviolent" are not synonyms. "peaceful" demonstrations are easy to ignore. effective protests must physically obstruct the government's actions. they must remain non-violent, not "peaceful." they must disrupt the peace. "peace" is maintaining the status quo. language matters.

ICE has now killed a white man and white woman. Both citizens. It isn't just immigrants, brown folks, Black folks, pro Palestinian activists and Muslims. If this doesn't wake up "white moderates" and privileged centrists, then...all I can say is good luck.
