“Nobody asked for this” is terrible media criticism because it implies that it is automatically bad or that the creators didn’t have a story in mind.   “Nobody asked” for Andor or Rogue One and those turned out to be among the best Star Wars media.

Being a scrappy, contrarian asshole who hates everything and does nothing but insult other people's work is not a substitute for a personality. It might get you likes on social media, but I doubt that people in real life would want to work or hang out with you.

It's refreshing to see the likes of Guillermo del Toro, Tom Holland, and Kane Parsons speak out against AI and call it out as the soulless slop that it is. We need more of this energy in Hollywood. It's a very nice contrast to the likes of Scorsese who sold their souls to it.
