What I've always liked about the Predator franchise is that it's not brawn that defeats the Predator, but rather cunning and brains. Especially in the first movie as the macho tough guy shit barely scratches the Predator, but he's defeated by Arnold outsmarting him.

Most modern movies, games, and shows don't suck. I think the problem is that some people want things to be like they were back when they were kids when life didn't suck for them, and they associate that with the media they grew up with and take it out on newer media.

The past few years have given us some really great games despite what some people on social media might tell you. But I hate that these past few years have been really shitty for the talented people making those games.

Late to the party, but I finally watched Fantastic Four First Steps and had a blast with it. What I really liked about this one is that the Four felt like a family, the retro future set designs, and much like Superman, there was a feeling of hope about this movie.

Oh, I'm convinced that these outrage farmer YouTubers do not actually watch movies. Saying that 2025 is the worst year for movies has got to be one of the dumbest media takes I've seen in a while.

I'll always prefer the weekly episode releases as opposed to the binge watching model. With weekly releases, there's much more hype between episodes and the show is in the public consciousness longer and you lose that with binge watching.

What annoys me most about the "we're all doomed" crowd is that aside from them being miserable SOBs who want to take away any shreds of joy people can find in this world, is that they're not actively doing anything to make anything better.

I suspect that the film nerds who performatively hate the MCU, much like the animation nerds who performatively hate the Hellaverse, probably don't give a shit either way, but they jumped on the hatedom bandwagons to clout chase and to act smugly superior.

Last night's electoral bloodbath is a good reminder that nobody outside of MAGA likes MAGA and that none of their cruelty and hatred is popular. It's a big mistake for corporations, studios, or anyone else to try and appeal to them.
