Every right-wing accusation is a confession. Call LGBT+ people "groomers"? They end up being the groomers. Accuse their opponents of "silencing free speech"? That's exactly what they're doing. Scream "voter fraud!"? They're doing the fraud. Every single time.

I swear this console generation is the only one that has become more expensive as it got older when usually they become cheaper. While I do think there is some corporate greed, a big part of the blame is Trump, tariffs, and AI shit making everything more expensive.

I don't think it's a coincidence that these tech companies and studios are becoming increasingly anti-consumer, anti-physical media, make everything more expensive, and embrace shitty fads that nobody wants. It's a feature, not a bug, of the All Digital Future™.

Sometimes it does feel like the studios and tech companies want us to pay more to own less. I do not like or want an all digital future.

Wikipedia is one of the last few places left on the internet that has free information, is free from right-wing propaganda, and is free from AI slop. Now you know why the right hates it so much and why Elon desperately tried, and failed, to replace it with his Sloppedia.

Another reminder that crypto and bitcoin were always intended by scams for billionaires and grifters to get rich off of the easiest marks on the planet. Much like the prediction markets, it is another cesspool of corruption.

Twitter is a right-wing propaganda network that suppresses free speech and feeds you lies. Choosing to no longer use Twitter was one of the best decisions I made recently.

Something that both the chuds and film nerds have in common?   Both love to pretend to speak for fans and the general audience, when let’s be honest, they're both tiny social media bubbles that don't understand either.

I think that these companies overestimated how many people like AI slop when in fact, I suspect most people hate it and sure as hell aren't going to pay money for it. The people who use AI the most are fascists, grifters and lazy people who give up their critical thinking.

Those betting markets really need to be regulated, if not outright banned. Especially among politicians and government officials. It's a breeding ground for corruption and insider trading.

This honestly should have been a surprise for the movie, but Nintendo Cinematic Universe? I'd love a new Star Fox game.

Trickle down economics has always been a lie, yet about 30% of any given country's population still believes that right-wing parties are good at handling the economy despite all the evidence to the contrary.

I refuse to watch the terf wizard trailer, but a few images ended up on my timeline and it honestly looks like ass. The actors look like they're cosplaying as actors playing the characters, there's no color, and I can't help but feel it looks very uncanny valley.

I'm starting to think that many of these tech companies don't actually care about making things anymore, but only about The Line Must Go Up™. Their obsession with only short term profit and chasing fads will be their downfall.

AI slop is not inevitable. Fascism is not inevitable. Don't give up and act like this shit is invincible when we've already seen that it is not.

Star Trek has always been "WoKe!" and we really need to stop letting the chuds and grifters with no media literacy skills control the narrative. I remember reading about how angry some people got at the interracial kiss on TOS. Some things never change.

It's sad and tiring to see so many good shows not given a chance and cancelled before they even make it to the third season for BS reasons. I think a big problem is meddling execs who don't come from the industry.

I can't help but notice that the press is still being very shitty about Sinners. Also, pretty sure most of Tarantino's work wasn't "original" either.

It's wild how we went from the live action One Piece, which is so fun, energetic, and respects the source material, to the live action Moana which looks so dull, bland, and lifeless compared to the original.

Starfleet Academy wasn't the best Trek, but the first season was still surprisingly good. Preemptively cancelling it before the second season even airs seems exactly like the scummy move the Ellisons would do. Paramount doesn't deserve Star Trek.

My time on social media has reaffirmed my belief that many people simply choose to be absolutely miserable bastards who want everyone else to be as miserable and unhappy as they are. And too many people like that become politicians, billionaires, and influencers.

Enjoy Project Hail Mary before Film Twitter/Sky inevitably turns on it for clout. These film nerds are so damn obnoxious, performative, and entirely predictable.

We all know the reasons why AI sucks and why it will fail. But I do wonder if these tech companies hadn't been so aggressive with it, like if it was something we opted into instead of it being forced on us, then there might not have been as huge of a backlash.

I think what scares conservatives and Republicans the most is not their abysmal polling numbers, but crashing the economy and making their billionaire donor buddies mad at them. So much of what they're doing is to manipulate the markets.

I think social media would be at least 15% less toxic if people spent more energy talking about and hyping up art and media they liked instead of devoting so much time to obnoxious bad faith hatedoms.

Almost all the YouTube channels and streamers I follow are ones I trust and have been following for years. I don't trust the algorithm to recommend me anything good. Especially considering how many grifter and right-wing slop channels there are now.

Doomscrolling and constant doomposting is not healthy. Stay informed, yes, but I don't think it's healthy to constantly consume terrible news 24/7 and expect it to be the only thing people talk about. Don't shame people for wanting fun and escapism.

Rewatching season one of the live action One Piece before I watch season two and this is an incredibly fun show with a very likable and charming cast. Every live action remake should strive to match the same energy and respect for the source material this one has.

"Listening to fans" is honestly something I don't think devs or creators should do unless it is something THEY want to do. Let's be honest, most fans, especially terminally online ones, are toxic, fickle, and don't know what they want.

People know that they can praise original works without the compulsive need to whine about IPs, sequels, and remakes, right? Not everything has to be console war BS or about clout chasing by hating popular things.

How about just don't use AI slop at all during the development process? That way you not only avoid the huge backlash you know you're going to get when you're inevitably caught, but you also don't have to spend time and resources correcting it.

It's honestly sad how Twitter, and let's be honest, most social media have been ruined by algorithms and billionaires. It was once a place where you could have fun and be informed. Instead, it has become a cesspool of hate, AI slop, and disinformation.

There's still lots of cool new movies, shows, and games coming out to look forward to. It's a shame that enjoying things and positivity are so demonized on social media while hating things and being an asshole is rewarded.
