Returning back to some games from the early 2000's, and I'm struck by how often stray ideas end up in the final game. Ideas that start from "Wouldn't it be cool if ___," could just be implemented into games back then. Reminds me just how much of game design was found through experimentation.

Kakeru and Blaz are 2 sides of the same SF6 coin. Kakeru found consistency through using the character who can remove the most options from their opponent, and being ready for everything. Blaz found consistency through being right every time. This match is Street Fighter 6.

#SF6 Mai is fun to play so far, I really enjoy how her level 1 super is a big part of her gameplan. She seems to struggle against characters with strong projectiles and those who out-range her though. Ed checks both those boxes, so I should be chilling against her.

The most recent time was in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. I was above Kakariko village near the chasm fighting enemies, when I turned around to see the Ice Dragon RIGHT THERE diving into the chasm. I had not entered the depths yet. Leaping after it and discovering the depths was breathtaking.

If you’re planning on watching any Lynch, my advice is: don’t watch any analysis videos, don’t think about what stuff is “supposed” to mean, just get your own unique experience from it!! I think people have become far too concerned with the “correct” interpretations of media. Just experience it!!!

I want video games that are shorter, with smaller worlds, pre-baked lighting, no ray tracing, less post processing, and more interactive objects, and I'm not kidding.

#Evo2025 Putting the arena in a separate venue and ticketing it again is prob the right call. It was pretty bad last year. Keeping the convention center open on Sunday is a huge win. So glad that's staying.

Every trans person I've met has been very kind, understanding, and generally pleasant to be around. I think the level of introspection required to decide to change your gender identity makes it really hard to wake up and decide to be an asshole. Keep being awesome.

I want to write about games. But every time I sit down to do it I realize that I go off on tangents a lot. Games can encompass so much and offer so many angles of analysis that I find it difficult to stick to one topic. Also sometimes I discover my thoughts are quite banal or common for a game.
