Good question about 'going beyond performative metrics' to those sort of things which make (researchers/people's) lives better. Embracing authentic, impactful and effective changes is important. #ircc25

Interesting things from Steven Hill - especially about the challenges of gathering RC metrics/indicators. Must we measure everything though?! There's the rub. But good to hear about those qualitative measures as well, as sometimes numbers don't tell the 'true' story.

Morning Exchanges World. It's August, which means a lot of folks are away on a well deserved vacation...and also that my meeting load drops through the floor. So, no excuse not to crack on with my to list - starting with all the latest emails, and then on to podcast editing!

Spending a bit more time today re-writing my job description for my hopeful successor in the post. It remains such an exciting and varied role, where no year has quite been like the one before!
