Not a good take from Wiener. He avoids talking about the project at all and then blames Peskin who voted on the rezoning in 2017. Mind this wasn’t in Peskin’s district at the time but Farrell’s. Voters won’t buy this given the developers used Wiener’s laws to fast track things.

Wiener depends on the right NIMBYs in the marina for support just like progs like Chan depend on the left NIMBYs but you only really hear about the latter. I think this situation is going to change that narrative especially after Engardio was recalled by similar people.
