Been playing The Technomancer and reached a point where you have to coerce the mutant workers into returning to their extremely dangerous jobs. The game up to this point has been "what good can we do in a bad system", but this quest was so mean I immediately turned it off and uninstalled the game.

Resident Evil Hot take: If you lean into the more actiony tone and play on the lowest difficulty, RE3 (remake) is one of my favorites in the series to play. I don't care how much better the original version was. RE3 (remake) is still great. You gotta be willing to meet a game where it's at.

After sampling many of them, my favorite WolfenDoom (term coined by the brilliant @caseyexplosion.bsky.social), a genre in which I include the Doom And Wolfenstein reboots, has gotta be Prodeus. For thumpy weapon sounds, adaptive soundtrack that starts jamming when you do, and the gibs everywhere!

Through my work as a captioner, something I find fascinating is how different people's words are shaped in the audio waveform. Different folks will have variations in how they pronounce things, and which words flow into each other, and where pause in a sentence. It's really neat!
