I truly believe that Final Fantasy Tactics is the best video game ever made and I'm very happy that new fans can see what makes it so great.

For the price of a AAA game you can get both Final Fantasy Tactics and Hades 2.

Hard to believe Se7en is 30 years old, but in those 3 decades its influence has grown so massive that it has impacted a genre that we really don't see often enough anymore.

Maybe the funniest thing about FF Tactics getting a modern release is after years and years of political memes, fans will see that the quotes are fake (though thematically on point).

Despite still not being "definitive," Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles looks *so* good and is another excuse to play my favorite game of all time.

It's been over 15 years since I last read the Deepgate Codex trilogy by Alan Campbell, and as someone who doesn't re-read books often, it's crazy how much this one held up. It's a tight-paced dark fantasy filled with great characters in a fucked-up world; I'm surprised it hasn't become more popular.

I wish the Rapture were actually real and would take the people demanding it.

I finally "finished" Silksong at 42 hours (I beat the boss of Act 2; I don't have the desire to go on to Act 3 for now, and I rolled credits, so that counts). I have fairly complex feelings about the game. Music, lore, etc. was great, but I have many reservations about other aspects of it.

This is one of my favorite essays I've ever written. I truly believe there's a density to Dark Souls 3...and Dark Souls as a whole...that doesn't get examined enough. It's more than a post-apocalypse, it's a full-on Cormac McCarthy-level dive into how entities react when hope is gone.

I know not everyone is a fan but I really like the randomness of finding streamers on TikTok, just because there's nothing like seeing someone at a crucial point in Xenogears or Final Fantasy XII and just watching them for a second.

Went to a Speculative Fiction mini seminar and workshop last night at the Wheelock Library in Tacoma/Proctor. It was put on by Washington Humanities and they kept saying the turnout was bigger than expected. I think we are all craving community and arts.
