I love how often open world events are popping off in GW2. Probably a very XIV-brained opinion but it makes the world feel so alive in comparison. Then you try to shoot a world boss at 12 fps as the game struggles to load everyone and you're like. Hell yeah. This is what video games are all about.

Probably the dumbest Borderlands 4 UI complaint, but to me the most baffling — In previous Borderlands games, when your friend joins your lobby, you can see their character lounging around in your start menu, clear as day. In 4, they get Mike Wazowski'd by the Friends panel.

Borderlands 4 comes out tomorrow. Panzer and I kept waffling about whether we want to stream it or not. With 2, TPS, and 3, we had the most fun taking the game at our own pace and then streaming the replay for your enjoyment.

This convo I had highlights the difference in what "respect your time" means in games. A lot of players want to trade time for in-game progress. It's purely transactional: 1 hour = 1 progress But I want to feel like my actions matter i.e. what I do with time creates progress, not time itself.
