Ex-farm worker here. We need to talk about this whole "But a living wage for farm workers would spike the cost of food!" thing. Not true AT ALL. Y'all don't understand how fast experienced farm workers are. The average tomato picker pulls 650lbs per hour. At $20/hr, that's $0.03/lb for labor.

6/ Here's another one. Trump snuck $40 million in this bill for a "statue garden". Likely will be filled with MAGA "heroes", reportedly maybe somewhere in South Dakota. Plenty of money for Trump statue gardens, but not enough money to keep feeding hungry kids.

5/ The bill cuts the help middle income Americans get to buy health care on the Affordable Care Act exchange. A 60 year old couple making $85,000 (not a king's ransom) would see a $26,000 increase in health care premiums. Yes, that's right - $26,000.

4/ A new tax break for coal companies! So the tax incentives for wind and solar are GONE, and the coal industry is getting NEW tax incentives. It's official policy now to to not just deny global warming exists - but to actively make it WORSE.

3/ The bill BANS state regulation of AI - a stone cold giveaway to the tech companies who want to addict our kids, pollute our politics, and kill our jobs with zero guardrails. Rumor is there's a new language coming, but it's still an effective ban. Just an outrage.

2/ It was bad enough they cut all the tax incentives for wind and solar energy - they added a NEW TAX on these projects to make sure America never builds any new renewables. Remember, Trump promised the oil industry provisions like this in exchange for a $1B campaign donation.

A huge blow was dealt to hurricane forecasters this week as a critical tool was abruptly terminated by the Department of Defense and NOAA. The immediate discontinuation of data from three weather satellites will severely impact hurricane forecasts this season and beyond. More ⬇️
