Astonishing. Just a thought, but perhaps publishers should pay peer reviewers for their time and expertise, rather than expecting free labour. I know, silly me. Or, maybe this never went near peer review. I spent hours recently reviewing a manuscript for Scientific Reports. Did I waste my time...?
