Americans are demanding Matcha Tea from Japan. They are swimming across the Pacific and throwing their bedraggled forms against the "Torii" (the entrance gate to Japan) and the customs agents stationed there are shouting at the Americans to leave, but in Japanese, which the Matcha demanders can't un

Basically the con of being a Borrower (4" tall person with normal intelligence but proportionally smaller strength) is the cats eating you. The pro is when you steal pills you can get seriously fucked up for a long time.

Black Mask (1996) starring Jet Li is a product of its time and it kinda sucks. I think I had confused it with a different, better movie in my head. I watched a lot of Jet Li movies as a kid.

Here's a maybe familiar-sounding
#ItaloDiscoFriday
track. It's a cover of "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" by Ryuichi Sakamoto, but it's been covered/sampled/etc many many times. One of those is an Italo cover, so I can post it. "Theme From Furyo" by Clock On 5 (1984)

If I knew Trackmania had a community back when I was playing it 15+ years ago, I never would have stopped. Ignoring the esports aspect of it, the game has never been better. The amount and *quality* of community content is insane.

I got world record on a modded under-10-second map. Uses snow car instead of stadium, needs to get past a pool of water. Solution is to get lucky and plastic bounce off the bottom corner to jump like a dolphin with massive speed and then drive in a straight line to the finish.

I often take photos that I can't post on here because I don't want to be doxxed. Lots of my photos are bad, but sometimes they're good, and I feel sad I cannot share them. Here's some consolation clouds and critters.

I've seen these camera repair shops bring out their Industrial Design Shutter Tester Machine that probably costs $10,000 to flex and I'm just thinking to myself... that can't be hard to build with like an Arduino? And lo,

We can do an
#ItaloDiscoFriday
today. I have chosen this one that seems to have all the markers of an Italo classic, but I've not heard anyone play it. It's Bryan Baker's "Niagara Falls" from 1985. Perhaps it's the way he sings "I FEEL THE PAIN IN MY HEART"

Kickstarter has reverted their policy changes on Adult Content! They issued an apology, siting Stripe as the reason. The pressure we put on them worked. This is a step in the right direction. But the threat of Stripe remains. It’d be great to see KS end ties with them & process payments elsewhere.

The Long Goodbye is such a fun movie. It's chaotic and messy, ambling and confused, but it's weird and interesting all the time. And it looks gorgeous.

When I was in India, the live-in cook made chai by putting the teabags, water, and milk into a big plastic bowl and microwaving it. So I think the bar for tea ceremony is very low and you can make the tea however you want if you enjoy it that way. Same with coffee.

Listening to the infinite italo station has an element of danger to it. Every so often, you get jumpscared by either a remix/cover of Popcorn or the specific song Baby Crys (Original Baby Mix) by the band Baby Rock.

I've been watching some noirs recently. Most recently, I watched Chinatown for the first time yesterday. Today I think it's going to be The Long Goodbye. It might be my favorite in the genre.
