Why isn't Leonardo DiCaprio in Game of Thrones? Were they not taking it seriously? Bunch of people I've never heard of. None of the kids are even from Stranger Things, just random kids. Unwatchable.

Sent by Wizard Boss to Georgia because he thinks there's a powerful spell down there and he wants to learn it. Says it's called Atlantaga. Free couple day vacation for me I guess.

So when Claude or whatever AI you use has an outage, what do you do to waste energy and resources until it comes back? At first I was running the coffee grinder unloaded but my Kill-A-Watt says that uses almost no power. Maybe transcoding some 4k video from h265 to AV1 and back instead?

I'm kinda low-key interested in the He-Man movie? I have no familiarity or fondness for the original beyond memes.

I said this in replies elsewhere, but I want to say it loudly here. Anything other than a fullthroated affirmation of birthright citizenship in this country by SCOTUS is an act of treason. It is grounds for immediate impeachment. It is a violation of every oath they have made.

I think Project Hail Mary is a good adaptation of the book. I would've preferred it as a miniseries and I wish they kept more of the parts where things go wrong, but overall it was a great condensation of the book into a movie length story.

I have one (1) 35mm camera and it's a Canon Elan 7 that I got basically mint for ~$150. It's so insanely good to use that I basically never use it. It's too easy. Feels too nice. I like my PB crunchy. But if I was doing tourism, that would be what I bring. The lens ecosystem for it is ridiculous.

USPS stalled a package in a nearby city for 5 days. Then it arrived at my local PO yesterday, only to get sent to a different nearby city today. What is going on?

Sorta related but why didn't they adapt Artemis to film? A noir/heist novel on the moon with good hard sci-fi sounds like a great time. People who liked The Expanse would like Artemis I think, and that was a popular show.

I have now read and heard two different sources being skeptical of how 'easily' Ryan Gosling is able to pick up and translate the alien language in Project Hail Mary. This is a book where they discover a magic microbe that can do mass-energy conversion.

Look, I'm very glad we're getting the Dune 3 (Messiah?) movie to complete the arc. I'm glad it's Denis doing all of them back to back with the same cast (although the DP is different for 3). But. It has the distinct potential to be very feelbad.

I want to use the Mamiya TLR camera but, despite the first rolls coming out ok, the condition of the light sealing foam concerns me too much so I have a light seal replacement kit on the way.

GOD HAND is 20 years old this year. Later in the year I want to do streams of it, but I just got reminded of retroachievements, so maybe that becomes the stream gimmick.

I don't know how feasible it is for me to get all of them, some look a bit stupid.

Baron Munchausen went on to live a long and storied life until his tragic death some time in the 23rd century, when he and his whole fleet were destroyed in a retaliatory attack from a moon-sized sphere of pure evil.
