Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand have called on Dem. Graham Platner to drop out of Maine's Senate race after Politico reported sexual assault allegations against him. In a video on X, Platner denied the allegations but said his campaign is “taking the time to reflect on the best path forward.”

Credible allegations of sexual assault cannot be ignored. Voters in Maine deserve a choice for US Senate that doesn’t force them to make a moral compromise between sexual violence or corporate servitude.
