How it started vs how it's going. Left is probably from around 1982 or 83, so I was about 13. Ink pen, low-quality water color, and color pencil on parchment(?). Right is from Dec 2025. Photo reference taken into Procreate for blocking then PS for everything else.

The other one I'll give is that the whole romanticized "starving/suffering artist" thing is complete bullshit. You don't have to be broken, struggle, etc to be "truly" creative. In fact it's the opposite.
