Looking back I still marvel at NBC’s must see tv lineup after the Cosby Show and A Different World ended. There has never been a long-running black comedy at NBC since 1993. The majority of my tv viewing from elementary to high school was largely white dominated casts which is wild to think about.

What’s so frustrating is that Hollywood never stopped being this way. Even with Hollywood’s fake commitments to DEI, the majority of tv writing rooms were still extremely white and male. (Also hotness is very subjective).
